Judging Pumpkins at Gulf Shores Middle School
Judging Pumpkins at Gulf Shores Middle School
I had so much fun recently getting to judge the pumpkin contest at Gulf Shores Middle School! Fall is one of my favorite times of year, and seeing all the students’ creativity on full display was such a treat.
🎃 So Many Creative Pumpkins
The cafeteria was full of energy and excitement, and the pumpkins were incredible! Some were carved, some were painted, and some had tiny decorations that made them stand out. I loved seeing how much thought and personality each student put into their pumpkin. There were silly designs, spooky designs, and some that were just downright adorable.
🏆 The Judging Process
I got to help pick winners in a few different categories: Judge's Choice, Honorable Mentions, Best Carved, Best Painted, and Best House. It was such a hard job because every pumpkin was special in its own way! My favorite part was seeing the kids’ faces light up when I complimented their work. You could tell they were proud of what they made, and that made judging them so much fun.
🌟 Celebrating Our Students
Even if they didn’t win, every student walked away feeling proud, and that’s what really matters. Events like this give kids a chance to show off their creativity and have fun with their friends, and I loved being part of that experience.
🍂 Final Thoughts
Judging pumpkins at Gulf Shores Middle School was such a highlight for me this fall. It reminded me why I love being involved in our community. Seeing kids smile, celebrate, and take pride in their work is the best part of any event, and I can’t wait to do it again next year!
