There are so many fun indoor activities that will keep you entertained and make your vacation just as memorable. Here are some of my favorite ways to make the most of a rainy day on the coast!

🎥 Catch a Movie at The Wharf

When the skies turn gray, one of my favorite things to do is head over to The Wharf and catch a movie at the AMC Theater. It’s the perfect way to relax with a comfy seat, a big tub of popcorn, and a good film. Whether you like action, comedy, or a sweet romance, there’s always something playing that fits your mood.

🔐 Take on an Escape Room Challenge

If you’re in the mood for something exciting, try Breakout Games at The Wharf. These escape rooms are so much fun and really test your teamwork and problem-solving skills. You’ll work together to find clues, solve puzzles, and “escape” before time runs out. It’s a great way to spend an afternoon indoors with family or friends.

🎮 Play at Fat Daddy’s Arcade

Another fun stop is Fat Daddy’s Arcade, also at The Wharf. It’s packed with classic and modern games that everyone can enjoy. You can win tickets for prizes, challenge your friends at air hockey, or just have fun trying something new. It’s lively, family-friendly, and a great way to pass the time while it’s raining outside.

If you love mini golf, check out Jurassic Golf. It’s an indoor course filled with dinosaur-themed holes, glowing effects, and plenty of laughs. It’s perfect for kids, couples, and anyone who wants to have a little fun without worrying about the weather.

If you’ve got kids with lots of energy or you just want to do something active, The Factory in Gulf Shores is perfect. It’s an indoor trampoline and adventure park with foam pits, basketball dunk zones, climbing walls, and even ninja courses. It’s a fun way to stay moving while staying dry.

🛍️ Go Shopping at Tanger Outlets

If you’re in the mood to shop, Tanger Outlets in Foley is always a good idea. You’ll find great deals on clothes, shoes, and gifts. Plus, you can grab a coffee or snack while you browse. A little retail therapy can brighten up any rainy day!

🍽️ Dine at Local Restaurants

Rainy days are the perfect time to sit down for a great meal. Local favorites like LuLu’s (which has fantastic allergy-friendly options), The Catch, and Jesse’s on the Bay all offer delicious food and a cozy atmosphere. If you just want something light, grab a coffee and pastry from Foam Coffee or The Southern Grind.

Sometimes a rainy day is the best excuse to slow down. Treat yourself to a spa day, try a yoga class, or get a massage at Fusion Spa Salon. It’s the perfect way to relax and recharge while you wait for the sun to come back out.

Rain never lasts long here in Gulf Shores. When it does roll in, there are plenty of things to do that will keep you smiling until the sunshine returns. From movies and museums to shopping, dining, and arcade fun, there’s no reason to let the weather stop you from having an amazing day at the beach.
